Red Chile Glazed Chicken Wings
Red Chile Glazed Chicken Wings infused with New Mexico red chile are perfect for football season and especially for Game Day!
Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups orange juice preferably freshly squeezed from 6 medium oranges
- 1 14 oz. container BUENO® Frozen Red Chile
- 1 ½ cups dark brown sugar
- ¾ tsp. sea salt
- 3 tsp. cornstarch
- ¾ orange zest
- 24-30 pieces cooked chicken wings (cut into drumettes, flats)
- 1 bunch green onions thinly sliced
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, whisk together orange juice, red chile puree, brown sugar, salt and cornstarch.1 ½ cups orange juice, 1 14 oz. container BUENO® Frozen Red Chile, 1 ½ cups dark brown sugar, ¾ tsp. sea salt, 3 tsp. cornstarch
- Simmer over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes until glaze coats back of spoon.
- Remove saucepan from heat. Stir in orange zest.
- In a wide bowl, toss together one third of the cooked chicken wings and red chile glaze. Make sure chicken wings are coated evenly.24-30 pieces cooked chicken wings
- Place glazed wings on a serving platter. Repeat with the remaining chicken wings and glaze.
- Garnish with green onions and additional orange zest if desired.1 bunch green onions, ¾ orange zest
