Job Description & Responsibilities:  We are looking for a Route Sales Representative who will be responsible for direct route sales and customer service support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Outside Sales
  • Pre-sells and services designated retail accounts by direct customer contact.
  • Meets sales goals as designated by management.
  • Increases sales volume.
  • Actively seeks out and prospects new accounts.

Job Description & Responsibilities:  We are looking for a Food Safety Specialist II who is responsible for maintaining the food safety programs of the organization.       

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executes the Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance Programs for the Company.
  • Is SQF Practitioner certified for the facility.
  • Maintains SQF certification for the Company.
  • Creates and maintains all programmatic elements for Food Safety related certification programs in which the Company participates.
  • Executes the Supplier Approval Process as part of our Food Safety Program.
  • Leads HACCP and Food Safety team.
  • Maintains HACCP and Food Safety Plans and Programs.
  • Creates and maintains all food safety plans for all new and updated products, in accordance with the New Product Development (NPD) calendar requirements.
  • Integrates published ideas from food safety/regulatory literature which improve our Food Safety Program, in accordance with industry best practices and in compliance with the food safety certification programs the Company participates in.
  • Conducts appropriate literature reviews to understand and control the parameters which are important to product food safety. Integrates information into Company Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance Program as needed.
  • Reviews and modifies Company documents, such as product promotional materials, labeling, batch records, specification sheets, and test methods to ensure compliance with all applicable food safety regulations, certifications and Company's procedures.
  • Oversees the Company Microbiological Program, part of our Food Safety Program.
  • Maintains the specifications of the Microbiological Program in accordance with best practices data analysis, and regulatory requirements.
  • Provides guidance for any investigation and assessment of out-of-spec microbiological results.
  • Oversees the Environmental Monitoring Program, part of our Food Safety Program.
  • Maintains Sanitation SOPs and guidance documents, part of our Food Safety Program.
  • Audits the execution of the Sanitation SOPs in accordance with our Food Safety Plan.
  • Interacts with Engineering on sanitary design and risk assessments for all processing equipment and processing facilities.
  • Institutes and maintains finished product manufacturing procedures and specifications from a food safety and regulatory perspective.
  • Develops, maintains and Institutes packaging specifications from a food safety and regulatory perspective.
  • Develops, maintains, and institutes ingredient specifications a food safety and regulatory perspective.
  • Conducts food safety and other compliance audits throughout the operations as part of the Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance Program.
  • Audits all FSP programmatic elements (including specifications and procedures) at least annually to ensure we are in compliance with all food safety regulatory policies and certifying body requirements. Documents, executes and communicates any changes appropriately.
  • Directs and conducts investigations, including data collection, for food safety and regulatory compliance purposes as needed.
  • Develops and conducts verification activities of our food safety plans and HACCP plans as part of our Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance Program.
  • Maintains current food safety knowledge base of existing foods safety regulations, standards and guidance documents.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge on industry changes, trends and best practices related to food safety and assesses the potential impact of these changes on Company’s processes. Integrate as needed.
  • Maintains all regulatory and compliance documents and records electronically and physically as required.
  • Interfaces as primary point-of-contact with regulators, auditors, food processing authority and suppliers on food safety and security projects.
  • Develops risk management strategies for risks associated with products or processes to ensure compliance with all food safety regulations.
  • Designs or implements improvements in communication, monitoring or enforcement of food safety compliance standards.
  • Identifies and interacts with food safety consultants as needed.
  • Files appropriate Food Safety compliance reports internally and with regulatory agencies.
  • Develops, directs and conducts training of all Company personnel on food safety compliance in accordance with our Food Safety and Regulatory Compliance Program.
REQUIREMENTS:  
  • Minimum of three years in food facility preferred.
  • Experience evaluating microbiological plating results preferred.
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times – both within and outside the office environment.
  • Experience with composing, editing and proofing letters, memos, materials and reports & the ability to clearly convey the information verbally.
  • Experience with follow-up, organizations, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with a multi-member team.
  • Ability to analyze numerical data.
  • Ability to research and prepare cost comparisons.
  • Ability to organize and manage a wide variety of project simultaneously.
  • Ability to detect & trace errors.

Job Description & Responsibilities:  We are looking for an an HVAC Technician to repair and maintain plant refrigeration systems, operate the ammonia system at Ammonia Operator Level 1, and maintain the HVAC systems, boiler systems and air compressions systems’ equipment in good working order. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides mechanical support on plant refrigeration systems (Freon and ammonia), HVAC systems, boiler systems and air compression systems.
  • Repairs mechanical refrigeration equipment (Freon and ammonia).
  • Repairs boiler equipment.
  • Repairs HVAC equipment.
  • Repairs air compressor equipment.
  • Troubleshoots refrigeration systems (Freon) and their electrical and mechanical components to diagnose sources of trouble.
  • Troubleshoots HVAC systems and their electrical and mechanical components to diagnose sources of trouble.
  • Troubleshoots boiler systems and their electrical and mechanical components to diagnose sources of trouble.
  • Troubleshoots air compressor systems and their electrical and mechanical components to diagnose sources of trouble.
  • Orders replacement parts and reassembles machines and equipment.
  • Makes all necessary adjustments for operation of refrigeration (Freon and ammonia), HVAC, boiler and air compression systems.
  • Installs equipment as directed on refrigeration (Freon), HVAC, boiler and air compression systems.
  • Performs arc and oxyacetylene welding on equipment as needed.
  • Completes work assignments from MJT system and completes information to track expenses and man-hours, as indicated by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS:  
  • Minimum 1 year experience as refrigeration technician (Freon) preferred.
  • Experience with or knowledge of single phase electricity.
  • Experience with trouble shooting and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, mechanical, refrigeration, electrical (single phase) and electronic systems.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with HVAC systems.
  • Minimum 1 year experience as boiler operator preferred.
  • Experience with ammonia/refrigeration systems preferred.
  • Experience with air compressor systems preferred.
  • Experience with MJT programs and systems preferred.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs or systems preferred.
  • Experience welder certified in tig and arc welding techniques, preferred.
  • Experience with safety and lockout programs and systems preferred.
  • Has own hand tools.
  • Ability to analyze problems and detect & trace errors.
  • Experience with forklift safety and PM programs.
  • Ability to routinely lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Valid/Current Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driving record.

What an awesome journey this has been...

After 22 years at Bueno Foods and 44+ years in the workforce in New Mexico, I am headed into retirement.  I can’t believe this day has come.  Thank you to the Baca Family for providing an opportunity to this unemployed single mom of a 6 year old in August of 2000. This business was totally foreign to me.  But what I learned was to work hard and truly learn what it means to be part of a team effort for this ever growing business and to know everyone in this business has a purpose. What an awesome journey this has been.
