Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Makes sales calls.

Job Description & Responsibilities:  We are seeking an Accounting Manager who assists the Controller in organizing the accounting activities of the company, including monitoring and improving internal control systems and the preparation and analysis of management reporting packages.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares timely and accurate monthly financial information and management reports as assigned.
  • Prepares journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Assists the Controller with required audits and corporate tax return including but not limited to the preparation of PBCs as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for engineering duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for analyzing and planning workforce utilization requirements, workflow, and design layouts of equipment and workspaces for maximum efficiency.
  • Identify and improve product cost, production labor utilization, and product quality and product food safety from the engineering perspective.
  • Plan, justify, specify, design new and improved processes, new and improved equipment, and new and improve facility projects, as assigned.
  • Responsible for completing installation of new and improved processes.
  • Complete equipment, facilities, plant infrastructure, and utility improvement projects on time and within budget, as assigned.
  • As directed by the New Product Development (NPD) team, develop or modify processes from engineering design to full integration into Operations, as required by the NPD project.
  • Provide technical assistance on process information and specifications for operational processes.
  • Develop, coordinate and conduct training of operational staff, including Production, Sanitation, and Warehouse, Maintenance or other Ops. staff for engineering related activities.
  • Interface with vendors and suppliers on all engineering projects, as assigned.
  • Conduct research to understand and control the parameters which are important to productivity, product quality and product food safety. Implement once approved by management as indicated.
  • Comply with USDA/ FDA/ OSHA and other regulatory body regulations.

  • Operate Electric pallet jack primarily, some forklift operation once certified.
  • Select orders.
  • Fill picking and storage bins.
  • Fill and empty blast freezers and freezing areas.

  • Ensure FIFO and proper storage.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Accept transfers of product from production.

  • Inspect incoming raw and bulk food items. Documents condition of items received. Reports variances to Purchasing.

  • Measures weights, temperatures, sizes, moisture and pH. Records results.

What an awesome journey this has been...

After 22 years at Bueno Foods and 44+ years in the workforce in New Mexico, I am headed into retirement.  I can’t believe this day has come.  Thank you to the Baca Family for providing an opportunity to this unemployed single mom of a 6 year old in August of 2000. This business was totally foreign to me.  But what I learned was to work hard and truly learn what it means to be part of a team effort for this ever growing business and to know everyone in this business has a purpose.
