In a 3 quart saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
½ cup olive oil
Add onion and garlic. Sauté until translucent.
½ cup yellow onion, 2 tsp. garlic
Add oregano and stir briefly for 1 minute to release aroma.
½ tsp. BUENO® Oregano
Stir in all remaining ingredients except Parmesan cheese and pasta.
1-14 oz. container BUENO® Red Chile Puree, 1-3 oz. can tomato paste, 1 tsp. tsp. salt, ¼ tsp. black pepper, ½ cup water
Simmer sauce over medium low heat for 15 to 20 minutes, uncovered.
For every 1 cup cooked pasta, add 1/2 cup marinara sauce.
1 pound linguine pasta
Top each serving with cheese, if desired.
